The Brief

Before the Work Started
The existing boiler was a bulky unit that occupied the full height of the airing cupboard. While it had done its job over the years, it was significantly less efficient than a modern combi and the cupboard space it occupied could be put to much better use. The old pipework and connections all needed to come out as part of the replacement.
Delivery and Unboxing
Mark arrived on site with the new Vaillant boiler and all the components needed for the installation. Everything was checked over before work began to make sure the job could be completed in a single visit without any delays.
The new Vaillant was unboxed and inspected before being brought inside – standard practice to make sure nothing has been damaged in transit before it goes on the wall.
The Installation
With the old boiler removed, the new Vaillant was mounted on the cupboard wall and the copper pipework run below. All pipework was installed neatly to current standards, with the magnetic system filter fitted inline to protect the heat exchanger from sludge and debris – an essential part of any new boiler installation that protects the warranty and extends the life of the unit.
The Finished Installation
The finished installation is clean and compact – the new Vaillant sits neatly on the wall with all copper pipework run below it, the smart thermostat positioned at floor level for easy access, and the magnetic filter installed on the return. The cupboard that previously housed a large older unit now has a modern, efficient combi that takes up a fraction of the space.
